Dear NACE CHICAGO:
I’m very excited to address you as the interim President of the Chicago Chapter. I’ve very passionate and enthusiastic about my involvement with NACE and it’s because of each and every one of you. If you believe in your career and the catering profession; if you believe in the value of education, networking, information and resources; if you believe that individuals can accomplish more together than alone, NACE is for you. By working together, there are no limits to what we can accomplish for our profession, our employers and ourselves.
NACE is a mirror of all this industry growth and optimism. On a national level, our members are capitalizing on the reality television trends; the "Ace of Cakes", Duff Goldman, design star Scott Corridan, TV personality Sylvia Weinstock, Dinner Impossible's Marc Summers, Whose Wedding is it Anyway? Steve Kemble, Linnyette Richardson-Hall and Dan Smith from Party Line with the Hearty Boys are all proud NACE members. And we are proud of them!
There are many exciting events taking place within NACE Chicago – the most obvious is our newly designed website. The Board recognized that for us to maintain and grow our membership on the local–level, that our members and potential members consider themselves as industry leaders and we want to make certain that NACE Chicago is a reflection of your professional life. Also, it’s time to elect a new board for the upcoming year. If you are interested in becoming a member of the board please contact me.
Programs are one of the core components of any chapter. Our goal is to educate our members so they can continue to excel in their respective fields. Please let us know if you have any ideas or feedback for your board on future programs. We welcome your input.
