NACE Educational Conference

 A highlight of NACE is the Educational Conference held each summer. It is one of the largest events in the world dedicated exclusively to the professional caterer and industry supplier. Certification—the CPCE Designation

 NACE members may demonstrate their commitment to professionalism by earning the designation of Certified Professional Catering Executive (CPCE). NACE members who achieve CPCE status represent the best in the catering, convention services and event professions. Details about CPCE criteria, study materials, test dates and locations, and exam fees are available from NACE National Headquarters.  NACE members receive reduced CPCE application and exam fees. The CPCE Program is an exclusive benefit of NACE.

Leadership Training

 Each January, NACE holds a Leadership Conference, where Chapter Presidents and other local leaders join the NACE Board of Directors for three days of training and educational sessions. www.cateringconference.com

The Foundation of NACE

 In 1985, NACE created the Foundation of NACE to further the association’s positive impact in educating future catering professionals. The Foundation’s mission is to provide research and educational programs that optimize operations, value and service. The Foundation strives to support resources that develop and disseminate research and academic curricula to enhance and improve knowledge. In addition, the Foundation funds the Catering Research Institute at the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston. The Catering Research Institute 

The Catering Research Institute (CRI) provides a research vehicle for catering professionals and a comprehensive curriculum for individuals who wish to pursue catering, event, and convention services as a career. Research assistance includes menu development, salary surveys, event themes, legal issues, data analysis, curriculum design and catering information as requested. Educational opportunities include management training work experience, mentoring, curricula enhancement, and student/faculty scholarships. The CRI Program is a unique and exclusive NACE benefit. Awards Program

NACE established an annual awards program to honor its members’ highest achievements and outstanding contributions to the catering industry. Winners are recognized at an awards gala held during the Educational Conference, as well as through articles in industry publications.
